Manufacturers such as Marley, Redland and Sandtoft produce concrete plain tiles for pitched roofs and vertical tile hanging. Common sizes are approximately 265–268 × 165mm, equivalent to around 10½ × 6½ inches, although dimensions vary between manufacturers and older designs.
Reclaimed concrete plain tiles offer naturally weathered colours and textures for matching existing roofs. When selecting replacements, check the dimensions, thickness, camber and hanging details rather than assuming different brands are interchangeable. Matching the surface finish and colour also helps achieve a consistent appearance.
